As a result, it fails to operate suppressive actions. A rimseal system can detect the occurrence of fire in advance and help in taking necessary measures to suppress the fire spread.
- The area of the rim seal has the tendency to get affected due to several hazards, such as lightning and sparks, because of static electricity or friction. Such hazards can easily cause fire and can become intense and possibly out of control. In such scenarios, a rim seal fire protection system plays a significant role in the fire protection system to suppress the fire.
- The detection system of rimseal contains certified pneumatic tubing, which is kept under pressure and bursts at a predefined temperature. After that, it triggers the extinguishing system through the special balancing valve.
- The rim seal fire protection system's extinguishing system contains a pressure vessel consisting of a premixed foam solution. This solution is kept under the pressure of nitrogen or other compressed air with the help of a balancing valve situated on the upper portion of the system. Such a special valve works with the help of the standby pressure of the pneumatic detection system, which keeps the system ready to work.
